A fan created one with ‘The Amazing Spider- Man’ and now it’s being redone for ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.’ What’s that, you may ask? It’s a fan made video that takes all the marketing material released by a studio and put together to form a mini movie – in this case, a super-trailer for ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.’
The seven and a half minute long video using scenes already released from the trailers and TV spots for ‘The Hobbit’ have been put in chronological order to create this awesome piece. While the amount of footage is not nearly as extensive as Sony’s release for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ (although there still is 3 weeks left to go), you get quite a bit of the gist of the film with the overlying soundtrack to enhance the experience!
While this may not change the studios’ position of releasing footage after footage for their movies, it does gives fans something to do with them. In this case, it’s an enjoyable feature that helps pass the time as we wait for the film to drop in theaters.
Seven and a half minutes down, one hundred and forty odd more to go.
