Watch 25 Minutes Of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Before It Hits Theaters!

As we’ve seen with the other major releases this summer like ‘The Avengers’, ‘Prometheus’, and ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, studios have decided to bombard us with TV spots, clips, featurettes, behind the scenes sneak peeks, and promotional images in order to get the word out for their films and hype up their target audiences. Well, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ is no different. In fact, all the Spider-Man stuff that’s been released adds up to about 25 minutes of the film that we’ve seen already. How do I know that? Well, aside from actually watching every clip and spot that’s come out, someone took the time to edit together all the footage into one long mega-preview.

Yes, you’ve probably seen most of it before, but it’s edited into a nice little piece of the package, all for the low price of free, and you don’t even have to leave your house to go to the theater. I guess if you’re a super stickler about these things, this does contain spoilers, but then again, it’s all promotional stuff from trailers and things like that, so is it really spoilers? Anyway,if you’re too excited to wait one more week to see Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, and the whole cast of Marc Webb’s web-slinging tale, check out this epic collection of footage, courtesy of Collider, below:

For the whole movie, featuring these scenes you’ve just seen in their proper places, check out ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ in theaters on July 3rd.

They’re really whoring out this movie prior to release. :(

Sony is scared.  If this film does not do at least as good as the original three films, it could lead to the end of Sony Picture.  The studio financially right now is not good and they desperately need a huge summer movie.  And despite what they may say in news papers and in ads, this movie is not the “sure thing” they need it to be.

I’ve now seen enough of this film to know I won’t be paying for seeing it.  If I ever watch it, it will be for free later on tv or something.  While I will admit that elements of it look great, over all, it looks and sounds horrid.  Fans of the 1990′s run of the comics, “Twilight” fans, and “Dark Knight” fans will find things they like in it.  The question is, will there be enough of those groups that will show up when this comes out soon?

As for me, I miss Sam Raimi.  If his series isn’t continuing, I’ll wait for the rights to go back to Marvel before I pay for a new “Spider-Man” film again.  Everything about this film screems that it was a mistake re-booting the franchise, and deep down, Sony knows it!  I’m sure the heads of the studio are shaking in their boots that somehow this film ends up the hit they need it to be.  Many of their jobs depend on it.

Really? Sam Raimi’s trilogy had some good stuff in them; you’ll get no argument from me there. But they were far from perfect. And, by the time ‘Spider-Man 3′ rolled around, I expect you’ll be hard pressed to find more than a few people who actually liked that movie.

Raimi’s stuff was okay but had lost its focus by the third movie. It was definitely time for a reboot and I’m overjoyed that Sony is using a lot of the Ultimate Spider-Man mythos in the new movie. It’ll throw out some fresh storylines to non-comic readers who may find Spider-Man’s origin being retold yet again to be a bit stale.

      Go Spidey!

THIS! This is the Spider-Man movie that fans have been waiting for! As much as I like some of Raimi’s work, his Spider-Man trilogy left a lot to be desired.

Let’s hope that the other hour or so of ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ is as good as what we’ve seen so far in the trailers/clips.

If it is, then let’s hope that those rumored collaborations between Sony and Marvel work out and the new Spider-Man eventually makes it into his rightful place in the Avengers.
