Now that the major job of signing Mark Wahlberg to star in ‘Transformers 4’ is done, director Michael Bay is now turning his sights to filling the roles of his character’s high school daughter and her race car driving boyfriend.

THR has learned that Bay has already has a few actors and actresses in mind for the parts which is said to differ in character than in the last 3 ‘Transformers’ films. Instead of the film centering on the young leads working with the Transformers (a la Shia LeBeouf and Megan Fox/ Rosie Huntington-Whiteley), ‘Transformers 4’ will center on Wahlberg’s character and his daughter.

Testing for the roles have already started with actresses Isabelle Cornish (‘Home and Away’), Nicola Pelta (‘The Last Airbender,’ ‘The Bates Motel’), Margaret Quallay, and Gabriella Wilde (‘The Three Musketeers,’ ‘Carrie’) all vying for the role of the daughter.

As for the boyfriend role, Luke Grimes (‘Brothers and Sisters,’ ‘Taken 2’), Landon Liboiron (‘Terra Nova,’ ‘Hemlock Grove’), Brenton Thwaites (‘Maleficent,’ ’Blue Lagoon:The Awakening’), Jack Reynor and Hunter Parrish (‘Weeds,’ ‘It’s Complicated’) are said to be in the running.

Bay is sticking with his formula of using relatively new talent to take on the second and third lead roles of the film and sources say that whoever is chosen will be asked to sign a three picture deal. But what up and coming young actor/ actress is going to turn that down the opportunity to be the next big ‘Transformers’ star, right?

News of who snags the roles should come out in the next few weeks as production of ‘Transformers 4’ is scheduled to begin sometime in the Spring of 2013 with a possible release date of June 27, 2014.

So who do you think will get the coveted roles?
