It’s been well established that Elijah Wood would be making an appearance in the film ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’ as the beloved Frodo. After all, he did give a tour of Hobbiton in one of the Peter Jackson’s first vlogs for the movie dressed as the brave Hobbit he portrayed in the ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy. But what we haven’t seen is how he will look like in the film.
Thanks to the Brazilian site Cinemarcado, fans now have a first look of Wood as Frodo as well as 4 other official stills which you can see below. The stills do a wonderful job at conveying the visual beauty of the film, but what is wonderful is that Wood doesn’t look like 11 years had passed since donning the Hobbit outfit. To put it in some perspective, Wood was 19 years old the first time he stepped onto Hobbiton and when he filmed his scenes for ‘The Hobbit,’ he turned 30.
Also released is a new international TV spot trailer! The minute long commercial has a lot of footage already seen in the domestic US trailer but there are some new snippets that can be seen.
