Earlier this week, we saw the beginning of the media push for James Mangold’s ‘The Wolverine’ as it’s slashing its way into theaters later this month. It started with the first clip from the movie and continued on with more clips and featurettes. In today’s haul, not only do we have new featurettes spotlighting some of the new characters in Logan’s life, but we also have two brand new clips from the film!
The first video comes to us from IGN and it takes a closer look at Yukio, the mysterious red-haired warrior played by Rila Fukushima. Here you can see interviews with Mangold and Hugh Jackman about the fierce admirer of Wolverine:
Next, courtesy of Total Film, we have a similar featurette taking a look at Harada, the ninja who comes to be known as the Silver Samurai:
Now, on to the clips portion of our show. In the first clip from MSN, Wolverine saves a soldier from a nuclear explosion. If you look closely, Logan still has bone claws, which indicates that it takes place well before the days of Weapon X:
Finally, we have a good old-fashioned brawl. Seen in pieces in various trailers and featurettes previously, this clip from Comic Book Movie shows Logan versus Shingen, who is played by Hiroyuki Sanada. When will people learn that very few weapons are better than Wolverine’s claws?
