Jason Blum has gone from terrorizing normal families with the supernatural to terrorizing them with unearthly beings of another kind: aliens. The first trailer for the alien abduction horror thriller ‘Dark Skies’ has dropped and it returns the creepy back into alien beings.

Gone are the adorable extraterrestrials of ET and Paul, as they have now been replaced by ones that have a more sinister objective then just trying to find their way back home. The trailer gives a very unnerving look at what an alien abduction and experimentation would involve.

It’s been awhile since there’s been a good alien abduction film and ‘Dark Skies’ really fits the bill. The film was written by Scott Charles Stewart who is better known for his work directing ‘Priest,’ ‘Legion’ and the upcoming Syfy pilot ‘Defiance.’

‘Dark Skies’ brings the same fear of the unknown that the first ‘Paranormal Activity’ seemed to have when it first hit theaters. It can easily become the next franchise for Blumhouse alongside ‘Paranormal Activity,’ ‘Sinister’ and ‘Insidious.’

See for yourself and let us know if ‘Dark Skies’ will have you thinking twice about alien life forms.
