If you want to keep your ‘Star Wars’ collection up to date with all the latest characters from Disney’s first-ever live-action ‘Star Wars’ television series, ‘The Mandalorian’, then this is the way!

This week Hasbro announced that an all-new 6″ scale ‘Star Wars: Black Series’ figure of the Heavy Infantry Mandalorian is heading exclusively to Best Buy stores.  The new figure is up for pre-order on their site and some collectors are already reporting finding the figure in the wild! Don’t miss your chance to add this new deluxe figure to your ‘Star Wars’ collection today! Now if only they were this fast with Baby Yoda merchandise…

Like A ‘Mothra’ To A Flame

Godzilla fans will be pleased to hear that NECA is bringing back their recent Mothra figure from ‘Godzilla: King Of The Monsters‘ in an all-new paint deco!  This new version of Mothra is identical in every way to the previous release, except that now it’s featuring an all-new paint job based on the character’s appearance in the posters for the film, rather than their appearance in the film itself. This is another perfect example of NECA finding a great reason to give us a previously used sculpture in an all-new way. Check out the release info from NECA below!

NECA is thrilled to present a new figure from the Godzilla: King of the Monsters movie!

Based on the monster’s on-screen appearance in this sequel to the 2014 Godzilla movie, Mothra features new deco, articulated wings and includes a themed display base with support rod for simulated in-air poses.

The figure measures approximately 12 inches in wingspan and comes in window box packaging with opening flap.

Three Times The ‘Toony Terrors’

They’re tiny, they’re toony, they’re looking pretty gloomy, and if you don’t watch out they’re going to stab you in the face! This week the team at NECA pulled back the curtain to reveal their all-new third wave of ‘Toony Terrors’ stylized horror figures.

The new third wave of ‘Toony Terrors’ is coincidentally comprised of three figures. Fans can look forward to adding new ‘Toony Terrors’ versions of Ash Williams from ‘Evil Dead 2’, Valak The Nun from ‘The Conjuring’ series, and Count Orlock from the classic ‘Nosferatu’ when this wave hits stores in the coming months! In the meantime, the second wave of the line just hit stores this month and is definitely worth picking up if you find them.

We can’t wait to see what else they have in store for us in the future! Fingers crossed for Star Wars Gallery PVC statues. In the meantime, check out the full solicits for April 2020 from Diamond Select Toys below!

Aliens Where You Least Expect Them

In a move that surprised pretty much everyone, Lanard Toys made an entirely unexpected announcement this week by revealing plans for an all-new 3.75″ scale ‘ALIENS’ toyline!

You may remember Lanard from their long-running ‘The Corps’ toyline of military-themed figures that were mostly known as “not G.I. Joe”, but in the last couple of years they have been slowly making a big comeback to the toy aisle by releasing high quality toy lines at low budget prices based on a number of recent film franchises like ‘Kong: Skull Island’, ‘Rampage’, and ‘Jumanji’, that allowed them to produce a limited number of human characters and the number of monsters for these figures interact with. Honestly? It really sounds like the perfect storm of ideas to see this company handle the ‘ALIENS’ license.

The new Lanard ‘ALIENS’ line looks to be comprised of figure multipacks that include a human character and an Alien, with two such multipacks announced so far. In addition to these multipacks, there is also been a Deluxe Alien Queen figure announced!

The figure designs are simple, and the toy line looks to be brightly colored and aimed at a much younger audience than the majority of ‘Aliens’ collectibles currently on the market. This line is definitely one to watch, as it could very well end up being one of the most popular lines of the upcoming year among collectors. Sadly, we don’t know exactly when these will be hitting the market just yet beyond that they will be out on store shelves in 2020.

ReAction Robots In Disguise

Super7’s fan-favorite retro ‘ReAction Figure’ toyline is getting a whole new franchise in the near future with the announcement of a new wave based on the classic G1 ‘Transformers’ series! While these 3.75″ scale figures sadly won’t be able to transform, they will sit on your shelf in all of their stylized retro figure glory with designs based around the classic Kenner toy lines of yesteryear.

The first wave of these Transformers ReAction Figures is comprised of Autobots Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Jazz, as well as Decepticons Megatron, Starscream, and Soundwave. These figures will feature limited articulation as with most figures in the ReAction Figure line. The Transformers ReAction Figure line is due out within the next few weeks, with each figure priced at $18.

Avengers, Assemble!

The main storyline of the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe may have come to a close this year with ‘Avengers: Endgame’, but as far as Funko is concerned they are nowhere near done with the Marvel brand yet! This week they announced an all-new multi-part Deluxe POP! Vinyl set figures with interconnectable bases that will allow you to connect all of the figures in the line to create one larger display piece. This is the first time Funko has done anything like this, so it should be interesting to see how it plays out. The first of these multi-part Deluxe POP! Vinyls is going to be based on the first ‘Avengers’ film and is comprised of six pieces. The first piece, Ironman, is set to be Amazon exclusive and is available for pre-order now! Currently, there is no word as to when or where the next side pieces will be available.

And with that, we bring this week’s Toy News Tuesday to a close! What do you think about the new items announced this week? Do you plan on picking up anything we mentioned in this week’s column? Are there any lines or brands you’d like to see more coverage of? Let us know in the comments section below!
