Elizabeth Olsen Shares WandaVision Was Kevin Feige's Idea

‘WandaVision’ is set to lead directly into ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ and now we’re learning that the series, and likely this tie in, comes directly from the mind of Kevin Feige! This fun detail recently was shared by Elizabeth Olsen who plays Scarlet Witch while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel. The reveal came as a huge surprise to both she and Paul Bettany as they were called into Feige’s office at different times to get the news. She initially thought she was in trouble while Bettany was thinking he was being phased out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In the interview, Olsen shared:

“When I found about it, Feige had Paul, and I come in at different times to his office, and it really felt like being called into the principal’s office. He was worried he was getting fired, but I think that Paul’s really great at telling stories, so I don’t know how accurate that is, or if it just makes a better story saying that. For me, I just thought I’d got in trouble saying something about Infinity War or something at the time. It’s kind of Feige’s creation, the show. It’s an idea that he conceived. It’s pretty great. I know a lot about it.”

The show has been described as being “bonkers” to “strange” to “Avant-Garde And Weird” depending on who is talking about the upcoming show. We know that the series is slated to be released on Disney+ in the early Spring of 2021 before the May 7th, 2021 release of ‘Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.’ It isn’t clear if this is going to have Scarlet Witch helping out Doctor Strange or if we’re going to be seeing her descend into madness and using her powers to warp reality itself causing her to be a pseudo villain within the film.
