Emilia Clarke Reveals The Truth About Which 'Game Of Thrones' Actor Was Drinking Coffee On Set

There are a lot of complaints you can have about the final season of HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones,’ but the most amusing has always been that Westeros apparently has their own version of Starbucks. Somehow, in the episode “The Last of the Starks,” we saw Daenerys Targaryen sitting alone at a table, and a coffee cup could be spotted with the rest of the dishes.

Emilia Clarke has previously been blamed for the cup by Sophie Turner, and now the actress wants it to be known that the Queen of Dragons is not responsible. While recently on ‘The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon’ she released the truth.

You can watch it in the video below:

According to Clarke:

“Here’s the truth. We had like a party before the Emmys recently, and Conleth [Hill], who plays Varys, who’s sitting next to me in that scene, he pulls me aside, and he’s like, ‘Emilia, I’ve got to tell you something. I’ve got to tell you something, love. The coffee cup was mine!’ It was his! It was Conleth’s coffee cup. He said so.

He’s like, ‘I think so, I’m sorry darling, I didn’t want to say anything because it seemed [like] the heat was very much on you,'” she says. “And I was like, ‘What?!'”

It was the Master of Whisperers himself who was bringing in coffee to set. If anyone should be able to get it onto the set and keep it a secret so long, it should be Varys. In fact, I wouldn’t put it past him to have tried to encourage this rumor.

Do you think that this could have been the real plot Varys had tried to set against the Queen of Dragons? Which actor from the show did you believe was responsible for coffee? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
