Glimmer Grows Up In The Trailer For 'She-Ra And The Princesses Of Power' Season 4

SPOILER ALERT: If you are not up to date on ‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power’, this contains SPOILERS for Season 3, so proceed with caution or turn back now.

As Madam Razz warns, “A great evil” is awakening in Etheria, and in the new trailer for ‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power’ Season 4, fans can catch a glimpse of this force, otherwise known as Horde Prime, the being that is calling the shots and pulling the strings of Hordak, who was previously viewed as the major villain of the series.  And Hordak has help in his campaign to conquer this magical land, as Catra continues to claw her way up in the ranks.

Speaking of moving up, one of Adora’s closest friends, Glimmer has to take control, following the death of her mother, Queen Angella last season.  Series creator Noelle Stevenson offered some insight into Glimmer’s development in the upcoming episodes, when speaking to Entertainment Weekly:

“Well, Glimmer finds herself in this whole situation that she’s never been in before. She now has and this just incredible responsibility that I don’t think she ever expected to actually have, because her mother was never supposed to go anywhere. And so suddenly she’s been thrown into the deep end of having to be a leader, having to be a ruler. And with Horde Prime, like the threat of wartime hanging over everybody, the stakes have never been higher. We see Gimmer in a new light because she wants to protect everybody. What is she willing to go to do that, to make sure that no one else gets hurt and that she doesn’t lose anyone else in this fight with the Horde? Season 4 brings a whole new set of stakes for our main characters. They’re all finding themselves in new roles with new responsibilities. And so we’re gonna see them in situations that we’ve never seen them before.”

The new trailer also gives a look (and listen) at new villain Double Trouble, who is touted as non-binary, and will be voiced by gender-nonconforming activist and author Jacob Tobia.

You can watch the new trailer below:

After Queen Angella’s heroic sacrifice, it’s Glimmer’s time to take the throne. But her reign as Queen begins during the most chaotic time in Etheria. With Horde Prime’s arrival looming, the princesses begin to lose grip and a secret weapon falls into Catra’s lap. The war wages on in the all-new season of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, coming to Netflix November 5!
