The first episode of HBO’s upcoming take on ‘Watchmen’ is coming and the network has revealed the synopsis for it. We’ve also learned that it will be titled, “It’s Summer, and We’re Running Out of Ice.” Showrunner Damon Lindelof has already hinted that the series may only last one season, so any new details about the story could give significant insight as to what we can expect.

You can check out the synopsis for “It’s Summer, and We’re Running Out of Ice” right here:
In an alternate America where police conceal their identities behind masks to protect themselves from a terrorist organization, Detective Angela Abar (Regina King) investigates the attempted murder of a fellow officer under the guidance of her friend and Chief, Judd Crawford (Don Johnson). Meanwhile, the Lord of a Country Estate (Jeremy Irons) receives an anniversary gift from his loyal servants. Written by Damon Lindelof; directed by Nicole Kassell.
With the new story being a sequel to the original this further makes it feel that Jeremy Irons’ character is going to end up being Ozymandias. However, the real question now is what the anniversary gift will be and how it will play into the overall story. Of course, in this new tale, they “wanted to make sure our first episode felt like the beginning of a new story rather than a continuation of an old story.” With that in mind, the entire persona of this character could be a red herring.
