Harley Quinn Is Clearly The Star Of 'irds Of Prey In Four New Posters
Warner Brothers

The movie might be called ‘Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)’, but it would seem that in actuality, this is essentially a ‘Harley Quinn’ movie with some guests.  The first full trailer reinforces that, as do these four new posters.  You may notice something these images have in common– all Harley, no Birds.  But at least they’re pretty.

I’m just curious how many pairs of gold overalls I’ll see this Halloween.

Cathy Yan directed ‘Birds of Prey’, which stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn.

Oh… there are other people in it?!  Mary Elizabeth Winstead co-stars as The Huntress/Helena Bertinelli, with Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary/Dinah Lance, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain, Ewan McGregor as Black Mask, Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz, and Ali Wong.

As was glimpsed in the trailer, ‘Birds of Prey’ shows what Harley does after breaking up with The Joker.  She winds up teaming with former mob assassin The Huntress, singer Black Canary, and Gotham PD’s Renee Montoya to protect Cassandra Cain from crime boss Black Mask.  Reportedly, Cassandra winds up in possession of something that he will kill to get back.

In the comics, Black Mask is known to be a brutal sadist.  Victor Zsasz is essentially a serial killer.  So whatever happens, expect things to get pretty gruesome.  Ali Wong’s role is unknown, but it is big enough that she was specifically listed as part of the main cast in the trailer.

What do you think of the new posters?

The Solo ‘Harley Quinn’ movie ‘Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)’ is set to open on February 7, 2020.
