Jason Reitman’s ‘Ghostbusters 2020’ won’t be out until next year, but this year is the 35th anniversary of the original movie. In honor of that, Sony and Fathom Events are bringing the original back to the big screen. ‘Ghostbusters’ will be back in theaters on October 6 (this Sunday), and October 10 (Thursday).
Suit up for classic comedy for this special 35th anniversary event!- “Ghostbusters” boasts an incredible cast led by Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson as a group of intrepid paranormal investigators who go into business for themselves to rid haunted buildings of troublesome spirits, unaware that their endeavor could save the world. Written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, and Produced and Directed by Ivan Reitman, “Ghostbusters” also stars Sigourney Weaver, Rick Moranis, Annie Potts and William Atherton.
This event features an introduction with newly unearthed and rarely seen alternate takes!

With Halloween approaching, Fathom Events is also bringing back another classic, which is considerably more frightening than ‘Ghostbusters’– ‘Alien’.
Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts will return in cameos in Jason Reitman’s ‘Ghostbusters 2020’, but the main stars of the movie are Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, and Paul Rudd. Celeste O’Connor and Logan Kim are also part of the cast.
Reportedly, in the new film, a single mother (Coon) moves to a new town with her two children (Wolfhard and Grace), where they discover mysterious secrets hidden. Rudd reportedly plays one the of the kids’ teacher. It is rumored that Coon’s character may be the daughter of one of the original Ghostbusters– possibly Egon Spengler, played by the late Harold Ramis, who co-wrote the original movies.
‘Ghostbusters 2020’ opens on July 10, 2020.
