"Emancipate THIS!" With The First 'Birds Of Prey' Trailer

Warner Brothers and DC have finally released the first official trailer for ‘Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)’ and we’re thrilled to share it with you today. Stars in the film have called it “totally unique… unlike anything else” and while that might sound like some pre-hype buzz, this preview seems to indicate the exact kind of bonkers we can look forward to!

The movie’s writer, Christina Hodson, recently shared that “Margot knew she wanted to tell a ‘Harley Quinn plus girls’ story” which seems to be kind of what we’ll be getting here.

You can watch the first trailer right here:

Also, the studio was quick to put the trailer everywhere such as Twitter which I’ll include below in case YouTube isn’t accessible where you’re at!

Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn was first introduced in 2016 by way of ‘Suicide Squad‘ and if the movie, on the whole, was how her performance was judged, this film would never have happened. Thankfully, Robbie’s take on the character shined as one of the few positive moments from the film and audiences and the studio were able to look past what ended up on the big screen and realize that she delivered a character worth revisiting.

What did you think of the first trailer for ‘Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)’? Do you feel that ‘Birds of Prey’ will be able to net DC the same kind of box office magic that both ‘Aquaman’ and ‘Wonder Woman’ were able to do or will it be trapped from the negative reactions that still follow ‘Suicide Squad’? ‘Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)’ is set to open on February 7, 2020.
