DC Collectibles May 2020 Solicitations
It may seem like a lifetime away, but the team at DC Collectibles is already planning way ahead with some new solicitations for next May! The relaunch of the ‘Batman: The Animated Series’ toyline as ‘Batman: The Adventures Continue’ carries forward with two new additions in the form of some updated old favorites, plus we have new pieces in many of DC Collectibles popular statue lines including Batman Black & White, DC Designer Series, and DC Covergirls! BATMAN BLACK & WHITE STATUE BY TODD MCFARLANE
After 15 years of celebrating diverse depictions of Batman through the Batman Black & White statue line, DC Collectibles is proud to present its 100th statue in the collection, by acclaimed writer and artist Todd McFarlane. This milestone statue is based on McFarlane’s cover for Batman #423. As with the previous 99 statues in the series, McFarlane’s design reinforces the core value of DC Collectibles’ Batman Black & White line: to represent the printed page in 3-D form.

Bang A Gonk!
The team at Hot Toys is hoping you don’t mind a little sand! This week they have announced the latest addition to their ongoing 1:6th scale ‘Star Wars’ figure line with the reveal of the Jawa and EG-6 Power Droid 2-pack! This figure set is based on the characters as seen in ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’, making them a “must have” for a lot of ‘Star Wars’ fans. The Jawa is anticipated to be around 8″ tall with a full 20 points of articulation. He includes a blaster rifle, a communicator, a welder, and a number of interchangeable hands! The Jawa also sports a unique headsculpt with LED-Eyes that light up! Meanwhile, the EG-6 Power Droid (aka the ‘Gonk’ Droid) is expected to stand around 7″ in height with 8 points of articulation (which honestly isn’t bad when you realized he’s pretty much just a box with legs). Star Wars: A New Hope – Jawa and EG-6 Power Droid 1/6 Scale Figure Set
The Star Wars galaxy is vast and filled with numerous alien species and droids. Today Hot Toys is delighted to further broaden its Star Wars 1/6th scale collectibles series by introducing the Jawa and EG-6 Power Droid collectible set based on the characters’ appearances in Star Wars: A New Hope!
Jawas are meter-tall humanoids completely hidden behind rough, hand-woven robes. Their faces are concealed within the dark folds of a cowl, from which peer their sickly glowing yellow eyes. They comb the deserts of Tatooine in search of discarded scrap and wayward mechanicals, incapacitate droids and drag them to their treaded fortress-homes, immense sand-scarred vehicles known as sandcrawlers, and sell their hastily refurbished junk to moisture farmers who are hard-pressed to find a better selection elsewhere.
Little more than walking batteries, power droids trundle along as directed by their owners or their programming, recharging vehicles and machinery. They are often called “Gonk” droids in imitation of their simple vocalizations. There are many different models of power droid, and are common sights throughout the galaxy but little noticed despite their critical importance to both military and civilian life.
Meticulously created based on the appearance of the two characters in the movie, the 1/6th scale Jawa collectible figure features newly developed head with LED lights, skillfully tailored costume, variety of accessories, and a sand-themed figure base. The EG-6 Power Droid is finely crafted with detailed mechanical body with weathering effects, and also comes with a sand-themed figure base.
