Get A Preview Of Teen Titans Vs. Teen Titans With This Musical Number

‘Teen Titans GO!’ may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it has delivered some great musical moments, including “The Night Begins to Shine” by B.E.R., which has been featured on multiple episodes and hit #23 on the Billboard Hot #1, and #1 on the iTunes rock chart, and “Upbeat Inspirational Song About Life” by the cast and Michael Bolton (as a bear) from ‘Teen Titans GO! to the Movies’.  It looks as though that tradition continues in the upcoming ‘Teen Titans GO! Vs. Teen Titans’, a crossover that was teased in ‘Teen Titans GO! to the Movies’.

In this picture from Warner Bros. Animation, the cast of the current hit series ‘Teen Titans GO!’ encounters the characters from the first ‘Teen Titans’ cartoon series, which aired from 2003-06.  The two teams meet and clash, but they may find common ground during a ’90s style rap number.  Check out Robin decked out like Vanilla Ice and the two Beast Boys as Kriss Kross below:

Greg Cipes, Scott Menville, Khary Payton, Tara Strong, and Hynden Walch provide the voices of both versions of Beast Boy, Robin, Cyborg, Raven, and Starfire, respectively.  The cast also includes Kevin Michael Richardson as Trigon/Hexagon, Robert Morse as Santa Claus, Grey Griffin as Mrs. Claus, Rhys Darby as Master of Games, Sean Maher as Nightwing, and Grammy Award winner “Weird Al” Yankovic as Gentleman Ghost and Darkseid.  Maher voices Nightwing in the other original made for video movies, so it looks as though he appears as a connection to those.

“In TEEN TITANS GO! vs TEEN TITANS, villains from each of their universe join forces to pit the Titan teams against each other. They’ll need to set aside their differences and work together to combat Trigon, Hexagon, and Santa to save the multiverse.”

Fans of the first ‘Teen Titans’ series have not been receptive to the sillier ‘Teen Titans GO!’, but maybe this is just step one in bringing the original version back in a greater capacity.

‘Teen Titans GO! Vs. Teen Titans’ arrives on digital on September 24, and on Blu-Ray and DVD on October 15.
