She-Hulk
Marvel Studios/Disney+

At San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Feige announced/confirmed a bunch of new TV shows that Marvel Studios were going to deliver via the new Disney+ streaming service.  All of them were extensions of the Cinematic Universe– ‘The Falcon and Winter Soldier’, ‘WandaVision’, ‘Loki’, and ‘Hawkeye’, as well as the animated series ‘What If?’ which will also feature tales inspired by the existing movies.  But for D23, Feige saved the news that there are even more Marvel live-action shows coming to Disney+, and these feature all-new characters.  The first one announced was ‘She-Hulk’ and you can see the logo for this new series above.

She-Hulk was the last major Marvel superhero created by Stan Lee.  (Incidentally, she was originally kind of a throwaway, and was only created so that no one else could create a female knock-off of the Hulk.)  Jennifer Walters is an attorney and the cousin of Bruce Banner.  Bruce was forced to perform an emergency blood transfusion after Jennifer was injured by criminals.  As a result, she gained the same ability to “Hulk out”– turning green and gaining incredible strength.  But unlike Bruce (at that time anyway), she didn’t become a brute.  She retained her intelligence and regular personality, most notably her sense of humor.  (Think “Professor Hulk” in ‘Avengers: Endgame’.)  She has been a member of the Avengers and the Fantastic Four and has held down her own comic at various times.

Unlike at SDCC, not as much information was provided about the new shows.  In addition to ‘She-Hulk’, Feige announced programs starring ‘Moon Knight’, and ‘Ms. Marvel’ (which was leaked prior to D23).  No creative teams or actors were mentioned, so let the fan-casting begin!

We do not yet know when these shows will launch.  It’s possible they won’t show up until 2022.

But out of these three, which one are you most excited for?
