Kurt Fuller
The CW

Kurt Fuller has been bumped to series regular, after guest-starring in the pilot for CBS’ new supernatural drama ‘Evil’.  Written and executive produced by Robert and Michelle King (‘The Good Wife’, ‘The Good Fight’), ‘Evil’ stars Katja Herbers as Kristen Bouchard, “a skeptical female clinical psychologist” who investigates “supposed miracles, demonic possessions, and other extraordinary occurrences” to see if they are real or if there is a worldly explanation for them.  She is accompanied on her investigations by a priest-in-training, David Acosta (‘Luke Cage’s Mike Colter), and a blue-collar contractor, Ben Shroff (Aasif Mandvi).  Michael Emerson co-stars as Leland Townsend.  Fuller’s role is as Dr. Boggs, “Kristen’s therapist and trusted colleague.”

‘Evil’ also stars Brooklyn Shuck as Lynn Bouchard, Skylar Gray as Lila Bouchard, Maddy Crocco as Lexis Bouchard, Christine Lahti as Sheryl Luria, and Dalya Knapp as Laura Bouchard.  Robert King directed the pilot.

The new drama focuses on a skeptical female psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a carpenter as they investigate the Church’s backlog of unexplained mysteries, including supposed miracles, demonic possessions, and hauntings. Their job is to assess if there’s a logical explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work.

Fuller is one of those actors whose name you may not know, but you recognize because he’s been in nearly everything.  He had the recurring role of Zachariah in another religion-themed paranormal show, ‘Supernatural’.  He may also be recognized for playing Coroner Woody Strode on ‘Psych’.

He previously recurred on Robert and Michelle King’s hit series ‘The Good Wife’ as Judge Peter Dunaway.  He has reprised this role on ‘The Good Fight’, the spinoff which is available on CBS All Access.  Co-star Colter has also appeared on both shows, in the role of Lemond Bishop.

‘Evil’ premieres on CBS on Thursday, September 26, 2019, at 10 pm EST.  It will also be available on CBS All Access.
