She-Ra

Luckily for fans of ‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power’, the wait between seasons is nowhere near as long as those for many of its live-action shows.  Season 2 just arrived in April, and already a new batch of episodes is scheduled to arrive on August 2nd.  (Season 1 premiered last November.)  It was already reported that Season 3 will add Geena Davis to the voice cast, as Huntara.  It has also been revealed that there will be a ‘She-Ra’ panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

The release date was delivered by the release of a new poster, which depicts She-Ra standing on the scarlet sands of an area of Etheria known as the Crimson Waste.  As was the case on the original ‘She-Ra: Princess of Power’ cartoon from the ’80s, this desert wasteland is the stomping ground of Huntara.

As for the SDCC plans, on Thursday, July 18, ‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power’ will host the Her Universe Fashion Show at the Manchester Grand Hyatt – Harbor Ballroom.  The doors open at 5:15 pm, and the fashion show begins at 6.

The ‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power’ panel will be held on Friday, July 19, in room 6BCF, at 10:15 am.  Entertainment Weekly’s Patrick Gomez will moderate, with a panel that includes the show’s creator and executive producer Noelle Stevenson, Aimee Carrero (voice of She-Ra/Adora), Karen Fukuhara (voice of Glimmer), Marcus Scribner (voice of Bow), and Lauren Ash (voice of Scorpia).  That will be followed by a signing at the Mattel Booth (#3029) at noon.

There will also be a Cosplay Meetup, with details to come.

And oh yes, that signing will take place at the Mattel Booth.  The original ‘She-Ra’ cartoon was created to promote a Mattel toy brand, and although ‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power’ has been BEGGING to be turned into a toyline from the start, there hasn’t been one… until now!

It appears that the new ‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power’ toy line will be unveiled at SDCC.

In fact, the line will more than just be unveiled.  An SDCC exclusive two-pack of She-Ra and Shadow Weaver will be available to purchase:
