Lachlan Watson
Diyah Pera for Netflix

SPOILER ALERT: This information contains SPOILERS for ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ Part 2, as well as the upcoming seasons, so proceed with caution or turn back now.

Gavin Leatherwood and Lachlan Watson have been bumped up to series regulars for Netflix’s ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ Parts 3 and 4.  Leatherwood plays Sabrina’s warlock boyfriend Nick Scratch, while nonbinary Watson portrays Sabrina’s transgender best friend Susie Putnam, who now goes by Theo.  ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ has been a huge hit for Netflix, who originally ordered two seasons right off the bat, before ordering two additional installments.  The streamer even offered a holiday special between the releases of Parts 1 and 2.

In Season 2, Susie came out as transgender and embraced her new identity as Theo.  Meanwhile, Nick appeared to sacrifice himself to stop the Dark Lord, who turned out to be Sabrina’s biological father.  This was after he and Sabrina made it official that they were a couple.

At the end of Part 2, Sabrina asked her human friends, including Harvey and Roz to accompany her to hell to rescue Nick, saying “Let’s go to hell and get my boyfriend back.”  The fact that Leatherwood is now a series regular would seem to indicate that this mission goes well.

The third season is currently shooting in Vancouver, but a return date has not been announced.  The first two seasons arrived fairly quickly, with Part 1 premiering in October 2018, and Part 2 hitting in April 2019.  It is possible that Netflix will release the third season this fall, but it wouldn’t be surprising if it didn’t pop up until 2020.

Kiernan Shipka, who plays Sabrina, is up for an MTV Movie & TV Award, which will be handed out on June 17.  ‘Shazam!’s Zachary Levi will host that event.

‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ also stars Richard Coyle as Father Faustus Blackwood, Lucy Davis as Hilda Spellman, Tati Gabrielle as Prudence Night, Michelle Gomez as Mary Wardwell/Madame Satan, Ross Lynch as Harvey Kinkle, Miranda Otto as Zelda Spellman, Chance Perdomo as Ambrose Spellman, Adeline Rudolph as Agatha, and Jaz Sinclair as Rosalind Walker.  The first two seasons are available to stream now on Netflix.
