Before everyone else heads back to school, the VKs from Auradon Prep are headed back to the Isle of the Lost to gather a new class of students to join them. That sequence is captured in the newly released musical performance from ‘Descendants 3’, “It’s Good to be Bad.” Mal, the daughter of Maleficent (Dove Cameron), Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen (Sofia Carson), Carlos, the son of Cruella De Vil (Cameron Boyce), and Jay, the son of Jafar (Booboo Stewart) frolic through the Isle, gathering some of their friends whose apples fell far from the tree, including Dizzy Tremaine, daughter of Drizilla Tremaine (and step-niece of Cinderella) played by Anna Cathcart, and Celia, the daughter of villain Dr. Facilier played by Jadah Marie. Both can be seen joining the fun in the new video.

‘Descendants 3’ unfolds on “VK Day” as the fair-minded Villain Kids cross the barrier and return to their birthplace, the Isle of the Lost, to bring four deserving Villain Kids to the coveted Auradon Prep in a land where they have a chance at success, happiness, and fulfillment. But it’s Mal who knows she must resolve to close the barrier to the Isle of the Lost permanently, fearing that nemeses Uma and Hades will wreak vengeance on her new home, the idyllic kingdom now ruled by her beloved King Ben. Despite her decision, an unfathomable dark force still threatens the people of Auradon, and Mal and her friends face their biggest challenge yet.
‘Descendants 3’ was penned by Sara Parriott and Josann McGibbon, who provided the screenplays for the first two. Kenny Ortega, who previously spearheaded the ‘High School Musical’ franchise, is also back to helm the third installment.
