Superheroes Behave Extremely Badly In The Latest NSFW Trailer For 'The Boys'

It turns out that if you’re the most powerful superheroes the world has ever known, you can pretty much do whatever the eff you want, no matter how bloody or disgusting.  That is the attitude on display in the latest trailer for Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming series ‘The Boys’, produced by Eric Kripke, and Seth Rogan & Evan Goldberg, based on the violent satirical comic book by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.

Last year, Kripke discussed the graphic nature of ‘The Boys’, saying:

“I want it to be graphic when it needs to be because that’s what’s best for the story, but I want to tell this character story about these regular, blue-collar humans taking on these entitled, super-powered, one-percenter gods and the relationships amongst them.”

Karl Urban headlines the ensemble cast as Billy Butcher, the leader of a group of tough operatives tasked with keeping the world’s superhuman population in check.  His opposite is Martin Starr as The Homelander, a dark amalgam of Superman and Captain America with none of the altruism, who leads The Seven, the mightiest “heroes” on Earth.

Check out both of them in action in the latest NSFW trailer, shared by Seth Rogan via Twitter:

Urban’s team, the titular ‘Boys’, also includes Jack Quaid as “Wee” Hughie Campbell, Laz Alonso as Mother’s Milk, Karen Fukuhara as Female, and Tomer Kapon as Frenchie.  The Seven are filled out by Chace Crawford as The Deep, Dominique McElligott as Queen Maeve, Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir, Erin Moriarty as Annie January / Starlight, and Jessie T. Usher as A-Train.  Elisabeth Shue also stars as Madelyn Stillwell.

Amazon still hasn’t locked in a release date, but it will arrive this summer.
