Kit Harington Made 'Game Of Thrones' EPs Wonder If They Got The Final Season "Wrong"

Everyone loves Jon Snow but ‘Game of Thrones‘ showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss share the one reason they were getting worried over Kit Harington’s responses to the final season of the series before filming began.

With the secrecy around the series, there was a lot of delays on the cast and crew finding out what they were going to be up to when concluding the story which George R.R. Martin crafted in ‘A Song Of Ice And Fire.’ So, when the crew finally got their scripts, the two showrunners were obviously waiting in anticipation for the cast’s reactions. Did they like how their character’s story concluded? Were there any changes to dialogue that needed to be made? One by one the cast chimed in with satisfying responses.

In fact, all of the major actors had weighed in that they loved the script. All but Harrington.

As Weiss shares, they were completely worried the actor wasn’t satisfied with his arc and when the table read finally came up:

“That was funny. “F—. Does he hate it? If he hates it, does that mean we got it wrong?” We spent a lot of time thinking about his character. We saw him on the day of the table read and said: “So?” And he’s like [in a husky Kit Harington impression], “Oh, I haven’t read it. I want to experience it the first time in this room.””

While Benioff stated that “Which ended up being really fun.” and Weiss agrees that “It was great, and it was a huge relief,” it was clear the two had been stressing out about it.

Thankfully, at least for the cast and crew, the scripts all worked out. This weekend audiences are going to finally have a chance to weigh in as well, at least on the first episode.

Are you excited to see the final season of HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’? If you were one of the principal cast members would you have been able to hold out until the table read actually to know how this epic story came to a close? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
