Chris Evans

Ever since Chris Evans was introduced in 2011’s ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ he has embodied the iconic Marvel hero but we’ve all heard he is likely on his way out the door and is fine portraying Captain America for good. While it could all be smoke and mirrors, we’ve been hearing from Evans for quite some time now he will be stepping away from the shield. A recent interview for ‘Avengers: Endgame‘ doesn’t confirm that he’ll be done with the character but it does seem like it would be the perfect time to end his run as Steve Rogers.

Evans shared:

“I think just the completion of the arc. That’s safe to say, right? This movie does kind of provide an ending… He’s been through so much.”

Through ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’, ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, ‘Captain America: Civil War‘, and The Avengers films we have seen Rogers continually rise up to stand up for what he believes is right and help to save the world in the process. We have seen him lose the love of his life, friends, and the very country and ideals he fights for. Evans is right, his character has “been through so much” and you have to wonder what “the completion of the arc” will reflect for Rogers but as this is a conclusion of a saga, according to Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, finishing his tale might help be a solid end cap.
