DOOM: Annihilation

This Fall we’ll be able to see a new take on the “Doom” franchise thanks to Universal 1440 Entertainment and the first trailer for ‘DOOM: Annihilation‘ is officially out in the wild. The movie was written and directed by Tony Giglio (‘S.W.A.T.: Under Siege’) whose passion for the franchise has shown through in every instance he’s been talking about his upcoming adaptation so far. However, we all know that passion doesn’t always translate into a quality feature film. From production delays to not including The Barons of Hell or the Spider Demon, there are plenty of reasons to be concerned.

However, now you can watch the ‘DOOM: Annihilation’ trailer right here to get a feel for what the movie will be about:

I’ve been able to keep myself firmly on the fence for the entire production of this movie with how I wanted it to be good. Being able to surpass the 2005 flop which starred Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson seemed like it would have been easy by just keeping with the source material. It looks like Giglio tried to do that, but the trailer feels like it came up short.

The movie stars Amy Manson (”Atlantis”), Dominic Mafham (Ophelia), Luke Allen-Gale (“Dominion”), and Nina Bergman (The Car: Road to Revenge). Behind the cameras, it is executive produced by Lorenzo Di Bonaventura (‘Bumblebee’) and John Wells (‘Animal Kingdom’). It was also produced by Jeffery Beach (‘Jarhead 3: The Siege’), Phillip Roth (‘Death Race: Beyond Anarchy’), and Ogden Gavanski (‘Cult of Chucky’).
