Avengers: Endgame

After the first teaser trailer for ‘Avengers: Endgame’ was released, many fans assumed that the relationship between Tony Stark and Nebula was not going to be a smooth one considering they were the last two people left on Titan following the Snap (or “Decimation” as it seems to be referred to online now), and in the trailer, Tony appears to be alone. And not only alone, Tony seems to be stranded on a space-ship, presumably after having tried to find his way home, clearly in dire straights with little to no supplies, as he is making a video good-bye message for Pepper Potts using his Iron Man helmet, clearly worried that he is not going to make it home alive. Which left most fans to assume that Nebula found her own way off Titan and abandoned Tony there to his own devices. However, according to the new ‘Endgame’ spot released during the Super Bowl this week, this MIGHT not be the case.

Around the 00:14 mark in the spot (which you can watch for yourself below), you can clearly see Tony and Nebula working side-by-side on what appears to be a ship, which throws that whole theory into question. Could they have escaped Titan together, perhaps using the ship the rest of the Guardians arrived on, and Nebula could just be in a different part of the ship when Tony makes that goodbye video to Pepper? Or could they have escaped together, run out of fuel, and Nebula leaves in an escape pod for some reason (perhaps to find help since she knows space better than Tony) and that is why he alone? This theory does not make nearly as much sense though, especially since we know escape pods can clearly hold multiple people since we saw Thor, Rocket, and Groot ride in one in ‘Infinity War,’ so clearly there is more going on here than we previous thought. Which is good, because I don’t really want the teasers and trailers for this movie giving away any real spoilers.
