The acclaimed director of ‘The Butler’, Lee Daniels, has announced his next project and he is taking his inspiration from the internet. On Instagram, Daniels announced that he would be collaborating with viral sensation Super Bitch, a.k.a. Dremon Cooper. Cooper’s videos, in which he wears hot pink thigh-high stiletto boots and performs acrobatics have popped up all over the internet. Cooper is openly gay and took up martial arts as a way to defend himself from bullies. People have reacted in awe to Cooper’s stunts he performs while wearing high heels, as many women have trouble even walking in them!
In his Instagram video, Daniels stated:
“Do you all remember maybe 10, 12 years ago I said my dream was to make a gay superhero film? Dreams do come true. And I found my superhero. America, world, get ready.”
Here is Daniel’s video.
In the comments, Cooper wrote:
“You’re an amazing man filled with great ideas. I [can’t] wait to work with you.”
Below, you can check out the low-budget video that gained the attention of Daniels and many others.
Is the world ready for Super Bitch on the big screen? It may seem crazy, but when the subject was mentioned on ‘The Wendy Williams Show’, guest hosted by Don Lemon, the studio audience appeared sold on the idea. You can watch that clip below:
Can ‘Super Bitch’ compete with the likes of ‘Captain Marvel’ and the ‘Avengers’? You never know. Years ago, movies starring ‘Black Panther‘ and ‘Aquaman‘ sounded far-fetched, but they have gone on to do amazing business, with ‘Black Panther’ also likely to nab an Academy Award nomination or two.
While Daniels earned acclaim for his movies, like ‘The Butler’ and ‘Paperboy’, in recent years he has worked more on TV projects, creating the series ‘Empire’ and ‘Star’, which he also writes and directs. He has a remake of ‘Terms of Endearment’ in the works, with Oprah Winfrey attached to star. Based on his Instagram video, it sounds as though Daniels isn’t planning to direct ‘Super Bitch’ but will only serve as producer.
Are you intrigued to see this project on the big screen?
