If you thought that Disney and LucasFilm spending $100 million on ‘The Mandalorian’ for Disney+ was a fluke, there is a new rumor stating you were dead wrong!

From what it sounds like, the studios are going to be betting big on their Marvel properties on the upcoming streaming service with each of the new shows also having $100 million budgets! While Marvel TV might have some extra production money in their budgets due to Netflix officially canceling all of their Marvel shows outside of ‘Jessica Jones’ and ‘The Punisher,’ these new ones are slated to be helmed by Marvel Studios. That means that on top of the spending spree, they’ll be able to put the same kind of money into these new shows as they do with their theatrical films.

If this proves to be true, the ongoing series such as Loki, Vision and The Scarlet Witch, Lady Sif, and the potential Winter Soldier and Falcon shows could be delivered with the same visual spectacles as the feature films. Almost all of these characters require quite a bit of special effects in one way or another to show off their abilities, but with this level of a budget, they could stretch their limits as to the types of stories being told.

While fans of ‘Luke Cage,’ ‘Iron Fist,’ and ‘Daredevil’ still hope that these Defenders find their way back to a streaming service soon, you’d have to wonder if they would rate for this same kind of a budget if they showed up on Disney+. As being thought of as grounded street heroes, you’d have to wonder what that could mean for them.
