Keanu Reeves will be heard in an unexpected release.  According to Tim Allen, who recently appeared on ‘The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon’ to promote his sitcom ‘Last Man Standing’, the star of the ‘John Wick’ franchise will appear as a new toy in next year’s ‘Toy Story 4’.

“They really will surprise you with the toys they came up with.  Characters came back, new guys in it that are great. Keanu Reeves has got a great part.  Actually, a little inside story [about Reeves]: Even he said — gentle, wonderful guy that he is — ‘This sounds too much like Buzz Lightyear.’ And his character does have an edge to that. And the guy said, ‘So we calmed him down a little bit,’ and they reminded me his toy is only that big.”

Allen held his fingers just a few inches apart, which seems to indicate that whoever Reeves is playing looks to be a 3 3/4″ action figure like a classic ‘Star Wars’ or ‘G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero’ toy.

It’s probably just a coincidence, but ‘Toy Story 4’ will also welcome new toys voiced by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, as Ducky and Bunny.  The comedy duo starred for five seasons on the sketch comedy series ‘Key and Peele’, but the last time they appeared onscreen together was in a film that happens to have been called ‘Keanu’.

Of course, Allen will be back in ‘Toy Story 4’ as Buzz Lightyear, opposite Tom Hanks as Woody.  The film also stars Lori Alan as Mrs. Anderson, Jodi Benson as Barbie, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog, Joan Cusack as Jessie, Timothy Dalton as Mr. Pricklepants, Jeff Garlin as Buttercup, Tony Hale as Forky, Estelle Harris as Mrs. Potato Head, Bonnie Hunt as Dolly, Michael Keaton as Ken, Laurie Metcalf as Mrs. Davis, Jeff Pidgeon as Aliens, Annie Potts as Bo Peep, John Ratzenberger as Hamm, Kristen Schaal as Trixie, Wallace Shawn as Rex, plus Patricia Arquette, who like Reeves, has an undisclosed role.
