Paul Wight Happy

Things are getting big for Syfy’s ‘Happy!‘ as Paul Wight (‘Vendetta’,’Psych’), better known as Big Show by WWE fans across the globe, has just joined the series. He’ll be playing across Chris Meloni (‘Law & Order: SVU’) on the series based upon the Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson graphic novel and tower over the current lead. Wight is set to play Big Pink and with his 7-foot-tall frame is the perfect actor to play the cellmate of Blue who is portrayed by actor Ritchie Coster.

This larger than life actor will be an exciting addition into a world that has Meloni as the hitman Nick Sax who has his own issues. That is, after waking up from a heart attack he has a blue horse named Happy who follows him around and has him trying to do good. Specifically, Happy the Horse is voiced by Patton Oswalt and is the imaginary friend of a young girl who needs Sax’s help on saving her.

‘Happy!’ was renewed for a second season before the first even debuted and is expected to kick off in late 2018 though an exact release date has yet to be revealed. The first season premiered on December 6th, 2017 so if it does come out this year, it will likely be around the same time period. We know that the first season ended up Sax saving the day and still having Happy around to help him out, but it is unclear how these two would stay together going forward. What is clear is that Blue was taken over by the Orcus who previously was in his nephew, Mikey.

Are you excited to see Paul Wight join the cast of ‘Happy!’? Do you feel that he’ll come into contact with Nick Sax on the series or just share Blue’s cell? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
