Avengers: Infinity War

The post-credits scene from ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is now available online for you to relive the last bittersweet moment, with the last two casualties of Thanos’ fateful finger snap vanishing in a cloud of dust, but not before Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) places a last-ditch S.O.S.  And in the closing frame, fans were treated to a familiar red, gold and blue logo belonging to Captain Marvel.  Brie Larson will make her big screen debut as Marvel’s top female hero in ‘Captain Marvel’ out March 8, 2019, with ‘Avengers 4’ arriving shortly afterward on May 3.

Fans have known that ‘Captain Marvel’ was on its way, but this tease helped cement the excitement fans have had bundled up for the first solo female-fronted Marvel film.  It’s still unknown how ‘Captain Marvel’ which is set in the 1990s will connect to the present day ‘Avengers’ movies, but Fury’s distress signal sets the stage for whatever comes next.

Relive the post-credits scene below.  (Note: There is an extended trailer afterward that shows multiple clips from the movie.):

Don’t worry.  Samuel L. Jackson will be back as Nick Fury in ‘Captain Marvel’, although of course, that will be a flashback and Fury will actually still have both eyes.  Perhaps that film will explain how he lost the one eye.  Clark Gregg will also appear in ‘Captain Marvel’ and it’s said that it will depict his character, Agent Phil Coulson’s earliest days as an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.  Both Jackson and Gregg will be digitally de-aged to fit the time setting.

‘Captain Marvel’ will also feature the returns of two heavies, Lee Pace‘s Ronan the Accuser and Djimon Hounsou‘s Korath the Pursuer.  The film also welcomes aboard Jude Law as Walter Lawson/Mar-Vell, Gemma Chan as Doctor Minerva/Minn-Erva, and Ben Mendelsohn in a villainous role that Marvel refuses to confirm, but that is most likely Yon-Rogg.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is now available on digital and will be available on Blu-Ray on August 14.
