‘Runaways’ is getting ready to run again! When last we saw the intrepid heroes of Hulu’s debut Marvel series, they had only just fulfilled the promise of the show’s title by running away from home. When the show returns for its second season, they will, at last, be poised to begin confronting their villainous parents in earnest. And now we have an idea of when that will be.

While we don’t yet have a firm premiere date for the show’s second season, TV Line’s Matt Mitovich was able to confirm following a TCA event that the series will return “this winter.” Based on this information, it is now reasonable to assume that Hulu will schedule the second season similarly to the first. Following months of hype, the first three episodes of ‘Runaways’ were made available to stream on Hulu on November 21, 2017. Given that, it now seems likely that the second season will kick off either just before or just after Thanksgiving.

Also of note is that the second season order includes three more episodes than the first. While it’s possible that they may continue to double up, dropping multiple episodes on certain weeks, Hulu could just as easily take advantage of this increased episode order to lengthen the season. It is also possible (though unlikely, given the presumptive scheduling of the respective shows) that a lengthened season of ‘Runaways’ would allow the show an opportunity to engage in some sort of tie-in or crossover with ‘Cloak & Dagger‘, a prospect in which the producers of the latter series have expressed their interest.
