Game Of Thrones

In a world where any minute we could see that spoilers are coming, the cast and crew of HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ really upped the secrecy this season. To prevent a script from leaking to the public, Sophie Turner (X-Men: Apocalypse’) revealed the production had digital scripts which would disappear on them! This meant that the actress had only a limited time frame to learn her lines for her scenes as Sansa Stark and that physical copies didn’t exist.

According to Turner:

“We would have it on an app. We would get sent sides for the scene [we were shooting] the next day. So we would have to learn it all the day before. “And once you’ve read it, it disappears 24 hours later, and you can never access it again. It’s tighter than the White House security!”

She went on to share that another security measure that was put in place was that anyone who was visiting a set had a sticker placed on the camera of their phones so that no “accidental” pictures could be taken.

However, for as much that is put in place to prevent leaks Sophie shared that it wouldn’t stop someone from accidentally sharing a detail or two ahead of time:

“It’s hard for me, I’m such a blabbermouth! I’m sure at a party I’ve probably spilled some beans to someone… probably to my mum!”

I’d say someone get me to a party that Turner is at but we’ve all seen what happens to festive events in the world of Westeros.

Do you think that we’ll see an increase in security measures like this for both television and films going forward? Are you a fan of spoilers ahead of time or are they just annoying and ruin the surprise for you? Share your thoughts below!
