With Upfronts being this week for many networks, it is not that surprising to see them putting out new trailers for what they hope will be their new, big, hit shows for the fall. NBC is no exception, putting out a brand new trailer for their new drama, ‘Manifest,’ which hopes to capture the imagination of audiences that have been looking for something to replace ‘Lost’ ever since 2010.
Starring Josh Dallas (previously from ABC’s ‘Once Upon A Time’), the show is all about a strange flight that lands after a turbulent trip and discovers that 5 years have passed, and the lives of those they loved have moved on in the time since, thinking that everyone on the flight was lost (no pun intended). The trailer suggests there is more going on under the surface as well, as some of the people on the plane seem to have an odd connection to each other and something clearly was looking out for them, guiding them in a way, and the mysteries of what happened and why it happened are clearly going to be driving forces behind the series.

When Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely after a turbulent but routine flight, the crew and passengers were relieved. But in the span of those few hours, the world had aged five years – and their friends, families and colleagues, after mourning their loss, had given up hope and moved on. Now, faced with the impossible, they’re all given a second chance. But as their new realities become clear, a deeper mystery unfolds and some of the returned passengers soon realize they may be meant for something greater than they ever thought possible. From Robert Zemeckis and Jack Rapke comes an emotionally rich, unexpected journey into a world grounded in hope, heart and destiny.
