We have a new cast member for the third season of ‘Stranger Things‘ and this time around we’ll be seeing Francesca Reale as part of the series! This isn’t Reale’s first rodeo when it comes to a Netflix series as she previously starred in ‘Haters Back Off’ as Emily who was the younger sister to Miranda Sings’ character. Outside of Netflix, she has just completed production on the indie film ‘Yes God Yes.’

In the upcoming season, we’ll see Reale taking on the role of Heather. She’ll be “a popular lifeguard at the Hawkins community Pool.” It isn’t clear yet how she’ll be involved, but she is going to “become the centerpiece of a dark mystery.” I’m sure that being said, that we’ll see the show still set in the 80s and that she is a lifeguard that one of the other cast members will end up having a crush on her. I mean, there are tropes that need to be followed here.

While there will likely be more new cast members as well, we know that she’ll be joining Cary Elwes and Jake Busey who are also new central cast members in the third season. Elwes is set to play Mayor Kline who is “handsome, slick, and sleazy.” On the flip side, Busey’s character is Bruce who is The Hawkins Post journalist that has “questionable morals and a sick sense of humor.”

I’m sure fans are all eagerly looking forward to seeing how her part plays out in the upcoming season.

Do you feel that Francesca Reale’s Heather will be the love interest of one of our younger cast members or could one of our teenage heroes have a thing for her? Will Season 3 throw out the lifeguard trope and have her be completely separated from that aspect of the 80’s? Share your thoughts below!
