Freeform will release a new trailer for Joe Pokaski’s ‘Cloak & Dagger’ tomorrow, but ahead of that, the cable network has released a new poster. The most remarkable thing about the new poster is that it shows Aubrey Joseph‘s Ty/Cloak for the first time enveloped in his namesake, a billowing hooded cape that fades into smoke-like dark energy. Olivia Holt’s Tandy/Dagger is clutching one of her light blades, which have been seen in previous video clips.
You can check out the full-size poster below:
‘Cloak & Dagger’ is based on the Marvel Comics superheroes of the same name. Freeform has ordered ten episodes for the first season, with hopes that the series will lead to more. The show follows two teenagers, Tandy and Tyrone who discover they have superpowers. Tandy can create daggers of light, while Tyrone can enshroud others in total darkness. Joe Pokaski created the series and wrote the pilot episode, which was directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood. Additional writers include Ed Hannigan, Jenny Klein, Bill Mantlo and Rick Leonardi. In addition to Prince-Bythewood, the series will be directed by Alex Garcia Lopez, Peter Hoar, Ami Canaan Mann, Jennifer Phang, Ry Russo-Young and Wayne Yip. Pokaski also serves as showrunner.
Jenny Klein serves as producer, while ‘Cloak & Dagger’ will be executive produced by Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb, plus Alan Fine, Stan Lee, and Joe Quesada.
Joining Holt and Joseph in the cast are J.D. Evermore as Detective Connors, Miles Mussenden as Michael Johnson, Gloria Ruben as Adina Johnson, Andrea Roth as Melissa Bowen, and James Saito as Dr. Bernard Sanjo. Recurring on the series will be Noëlle Renée Bercy as Evita Fusilier, Wayne Pére as Peter Scarborough, Dalon J. Holland as Duane Porter, Carl Lundstedt as Tandy’s boyfriend Liam, Lane Miller as Officer Fuchs, and Marqus Clae as Billy.
Check back tomorrow for the newest trailer.
