It hasn’t been a great year so far for Stan Lee and now we’ve just learned that this legendary creator is battling pneumonia! Thankfully, he seems to be in good spirits about the situation which likely means he is on the mend. While Lee has canceled recent convention appearances due to the illness, he does state that “it seems to be getting better” and we’re all wishing him a speedy and full recovery!
Lee went on to say that:
“I want you all to know I’m thinking of you, of course, I always think of the fans, and I hope you’re all doing well, and I miss you all.
I miss your enthusiasm; I miss all your notes, all your photos and emails … and I want you to know that I still love you all.”
With Lee being 95, any ailment is one to be concerned of though he does seem to be better with this announcement. Unfortunately, it does come at the tail end of first having $850,000 stolen from him, another $300,000 used to purchase a condo, and now $1.4 million being taken from his bank account. If financial problems weren’t enough of an issue, he’s also had the LAPD over recently about an alleged battery which occurred in his house.
These are issues a young and healthy person would have to struggle with and is horrible that such an iconic visionary has to deal with them in his twilight years.
He did share that when he next spoke to us that:
“Maybe I’ll have some of this pneumonia knocked down, and we can have some real fun over the internet. Until then, Excelsior.”
