The latest trailer for ‘Blade Runner 2049’ has been released and it leaves a lot more questions regarding Harrison Ford’s character than ever before!
While the last couple trailers only lightly touched on Ford’s character, this trailer puts Deckard front and center as well as gives a little more understanding of what Ryan Gosling’s character, Officer K, has been set out to accomplish. We also get a better look at Jared Leto’s villainous role in the film which is definitely a treat.
But it’s one line that Deckard utters that will have fans of the movie agonize until the film’s release. It’s when Deckard exclaims to Officer K: “We were being hunted!”
Is Deckard a replicant? Is this why he and Rachel were being hunted? Will we ever find out the answer? It’s the age-old question that has been asked since the original ‘Blade Runner’ movie was released and Ridley Scott, who directed the original film and is an executive producer of the sequel, has stated that the question will be answered in this film. However, director Dennis Villeneuve has denied this in previous interviews.
So it looks like we will have to wait until the film’s release, but until then, check out the trailer and tell us whether this is just a red herring or if once again, the studios just gave away a movie spoiler!
Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
‘Blade Runner 2049’ stars Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling, Jared Leto, Mackenzie Davis, Edward James Olmos, Carla Juri, Barkhad Abdi, Ana de Armas and Dave Bautista and will run in theaters on October 6, 2017.
