We’ve already seen that there will be a ton of Stephen King Easter Eggs in the ‘The Dark Tower‘ adaptation and now King has confirmed another one which we can add to the list. The esteemed author has confirmed that there man’s best friend Cujo will appear in some way in the film.

In a recent interview, King casually tossed out that:

“If viewers who are familiar with my work look very closely, they might see Cujo. Keep an eye out for Cujo in New York City.”

It sounds like the rabid killer dog won’t have a significant impact on the film and will likely just be a St. Bernard being walked in the background. However, as Stephen King himself exists as an author in the books, we could even see someone walking past a bookstore with the actual novel of ‘Cujo’ being featured in front of it. Perhaps, even a theater with a special showing of the 1983 film.

This is at least the third confirmed connection to other Stephen King novels so far. With the books that the film will be based off being heavily influenced and tied into his other works, I suspect it won’t be the last either.

How do you think that the studio plans on including Cujo in ‘The Dark Tower’? Will it be a dog, the film, the novel, or something else entirely? Share your thoughts below!

But with various monsters and a vicious sorcerer named Walter Padick (Matthew McConaughey) hot on their trail, the unlikely duo find that their quest may be difficult to complete.

‘The Dark Tower’ will open its doors on August 4th, 2017.
