SPOILER ALERT!  If you haven’t watched the season finale of ‘Supernatural’, and don’t want to be SPOILED turn back now!

The season finale of ‘Supernatural’ dealt fans of this death-riddled series a one-two whammy.  Two major cast members were…  seriously turn back if you don’t want to be spoiled!

… Killed.  Specifically, sweet angel Castiel (Misha Collins) and Crowley (Mark Sheppard), the wry demon lord.

SamWinchester-Season10At least one of the pair looks to be returning, though, which shouldn’t come as a surprise to fans, considering the common resurrections on the series.  Strangely, the reveal came from cast member Jared Padalecki, when he announced that the ‘Supernatural’ cast was crossing over with ‘Scooby-Doo’ for the show’s upcoming 13th season.

The actor that plays Sam Winchester, let slip “We actually already recorded it.  [It’s] episode 16 of next season, and we already had to do the script and go to a music studio.

“And we did all the dialogue, Jensen and Misha and I.”

In fact, at the same Q&A, Misha Collins took to the stage to declare, “I think we will see Cas again, but the question is, what [does this death do] to him?  That is, I think the one to wonder about.”

So we know that Cas will be revived by episode 16 of next season.  But Collins hints that this death will somehow alter him.  We’ve already seen dark Cas.  What other tribulations can the producers and writers put him through?

Sadly, things don’t appear to be so bright for Crowley’s  future.

Mark Sheppard who has been a fixture on the show for years issued a tweet declaring that “There are NO plans to have me return to [Supernatural] at ANY juncture.”

This followed an earlier Instagram post in which Sheppard seemingly bid adieu to his ‘Supernatural’ family.

*Sigh*  You win some, you lose some.

How do you feel? Are you happy that Cas may return?  Are you sad that Crowley likely will not?
