We’d better hope that those early negative reviews of ‘Iron Fist‘ are wrong as it sounds like the character will be quite responsible in bringing ‘The Defenders‘ together. He’ll be the last character to join ‘Daredevil,’ ‘Jessica Jones‘, and ‘Luke Cage‘ on the small screen but it sounds as if he’ll be playing one of the most important parts to their quartet.

We’d also better like the villain that he’s up against as according to actor Finn Jones who plays Danny Rand:

“Danny understands the bigger threat because he’s been dealing it all throughout his life and all throughout season one of Iron Fist. So, when he meets The Defenders, he’s the one who really drives the group to understand the bigger picture.”

He wouldn’t go into specifics and stopped himself short right there to not reveal the threat that they’ll be up against.

“I never know how much trouble I’m going to get into. I think I did a good job, though.”

We already know that Sigourney Weaver is playing at least one of the villains in the series though this seems to further push back on the idea if The Hand or Wilson Fisk being involved. At least, in a major way. It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if either of these two factions ended up making an appearance.
