thor-ragnarok

This Fall we’ll see ‘Thor: Ragnarok‘ and director Taika Waititi has a response to the complaints who don’t like that Tom Hiddleston has claimed it is “the funniest depiction of” Thor so far. With either the name of Ragnarok which tends to be the death and rebirth of the Norse Gods in Marvel comics or the inclusion of elements from “Planet Hulk,” it sounds like vocal moviegoers were expecting a darker film. I’m not sure if they haven’t see how Chris Hemsworth has been tackling the character so far but all of his films have been lighthearted with darker undertones which are what I would have expected this one to be as well.

In fact, a couple of fans brought their concern over the comedy of the film directly to Waititi who had a couple of great responses:

and:

My personal favorite though is the one which has to do with the film’s logo:

I’m sure some people will take offense at that, but I got a laugh out of it.

All of that being said I am going back to my original point about the films. They’ve all been lighthearted, and Hemsworth has brought humor to Thor with every chance that he’s had. Will this be the best of the ‘Thor’ movies? Only time will tell, but it does look as if it is shaping up to be one of the most action filled and comedic of all of them.

Are you looking forward to ‘Thor: Ragnarok’? With how Hemsworth has portrayed the character so far are you at all surprised that there will be a lot of humor in the movie? Share your thoughts below True Believers!
