American Gods

The wait to finally see Starz take on ‘American Gods‘ is set to end this April! While we also have some new artwork and details for this adaptation of Neil Gaiman‘s novels to share with you today it is the release date that everyone should be most excited for. After a year of teases, we’re just over two months away from finally being able to see the series as it will be released on Sunday, April 30th, 2017 at 9 pm ET/PT!

Before that it will make an appearance on March 11th, 2017 at SXSW with a Q&A session that includes “Bryan Fuller, Michael Green, Ricky Whittle, Ian McShane, Emily Browning, Pablo Schreiber, Crispin Glover, Yetide Badaki, Bruce Langley, Orlando Jones, Jonathan Tucker, and Betty Gilpin.” For the majority of us though it is the end of April that we have to look forward to.

The initial season is set to be eight episodes long and will be introducing us to a world hidden in plain sight with the magic of old and new Gods living among us without anyone being the wiser.

As a bonus, we also have a new logline listed in the synopsis for the show to give you more details about the series.

American Gods pits Old Gods against New Gods, with the ancient mythological ones fearing irrelevance as their believers die off or are seduced by the money, technology, and celebrity offered by the younger deities. Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) is an ex-con who, left adrift by the recent death of his wife, becomes bodyguard and traveling partner to conman Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane). But in truth, Mr. Wednesday is a powerful old deity, on a cross-country mission to build an army and reclaim his lost glory.
