The second season of ‘Gotham‘ closed and gave us a trailer for the third which will show us The Riddler in his infamous green suit at long last! Anyone watching the series might be completely enamored with Jerome quite quickly turning into The Joker but it has been Cory Michael Smith’s take on Edward Nygma’s evolution into The Riddler which has not so subtly evolved since the premiere which has been fascinating to watch. The third season is already set to kick off this spring with “How the Riddler Got His Name” and more importantly it seems like we’ll see how he gets his suit as well!
Nygma blames The Penguin for so much of his woes and his revenge against him came to a head in “The Gentle Art of Making Enemies” which may or may not have taken down Cobblepot for good. My money is on not if we’ll eventually still see him as a nemesis for The Caped Crusader.

Obviously, this doesn’t show what happened to The Penguin as we need to be kept guessing (he’s alive) but it clearly shows that we’ll be focussed primarily on Nygma’s growth into The Riddler. While we’ve got a green suit going on it is missing the classic question marks covering it but as this is his first outing in the look we’ve been waiting for that could evolve over time.
What a change we’ve seen from his start as a quiet forensic scientist when the series kicked off.
