moon-knight

While I’ve always felt that ‘Moon Knight‘ would best be adapted as a series on Netflix or HBO that has all changed as James Gunn wants to bring him to the big screen. I’m sorry, but if the man behind ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ wants to bring one of my favorite superheroes to anything I am completely on board for whatever he has in mind. He doesn’t just want to take on the hero with multiple personalities on a whim either as apparently Gunn has been a huge fan of Mr. Knight for quite some time.

Not only does he have an idea in mind for bringing the character to life but he has already pitched it to Marvel Studios as shown by this tweet!

So, if Gunn’s idea does come to life it looks as if he wouldn’t be necessarily directing it due to time constraints. However, as Marvel Studios’ golden child who was able to bring a bunch of B-List superheroes to be one of their most popular franchises I don’t think they would just dismiss the idea off-hand. Even if it doesn’t happen right away it is clear that Marvel Studios is planning on releasing movies for years to come so we could even see the character come into his own down the line with Gunn at the helm.

Only time will tell. Who knows, maybe this could be the pilot that he would be willing to direct on Netflix!

Would you be excited to see a ‘Moon Knight’ movie inspired by James Gunn or do you feel that an ongoing series on Netflix would be a better route? Share your thoughts below True Believers!

Gunn’s next project, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2’, will be released on May 5th, 2017.
