The final trailer for ‘Underworld: Blood Wars‘ is here to share with you today and if you’ve been looking forward to the film, then this action-packed installment will make you want it to be January right about now. Here,  we see the Lycans pushing for the final extermination of Vampirekind and while the leadership is of course not worried, we see that all of the Lycans have truly fallen behind a single shifter. Not only will Marius be working to wipe out the vampires but he wants Selene for his own agenda.

You can check out the trailer here.

Synopsis:

The next installment in the blockbuster franchise, UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS follows Vampire death dealer, Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she fends off brutal attacks from both the Lycan clan and the Vampire faction that betrayed her. With her only allies, David (Theo James) and his father Thomas (Charles Dance), she must stop the eternal war between Lycans and Vampires, even if it means she has to make the ultimate sacrifice.

It looks like a fun ride and introduces both Theo James (‘Divergent’) in a leading role that works, Tobias Menzies (‘Outlander’) as Marius, and Lara Pulver (‘Sherlock’) as a new vampire named Semira who has her own game to see play out. While it should prove entertaining, it really feels that they need to mix things up on the Vampire and Lycan war that sees Selene as once again the only one who can put a stop to things.

While we do know that a rumored crossover with Blade is off the table, it will be curious to see if this at all helps to setup the spinoff television series which has been on the backburner for quite some time now.

‘Underworld: Blood Wars’ will battle its way into theaters on January 6th, 2017. The film stars Kate Beckinsale, Theo James, Lara Pulver, Tobias Menzies, Bradley James, James Faulkner, and Charles Dance.
