When the cast of ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ recently attended Entertainment Weekly’s PopFest, they were asked which among them was the biggest J.K. Rowling fanatic, they unanimously singled out Ezra Miller, who plays Credence in the film, self-professed “die hard fan of Harry Potter.”

Need convincing?  In this new 60 second clip, Miller digs into ‘Potter’ lore and spells out how ‘Fantastic Beasts’ connects to the ‘Potter’ timeline.  Considering that ‘Fantastic Beasts’ takes place in the 1920s and the ‘Potter’ tales are set in the present/recent past, this something that fans have been wondering about.

So how does it connect?  Here’s how:

Though he teases that his explanation may not be the true connection, he also heavily hints that it is.  And after all, he’s in the freakin’ movie.  Pretty sure he knows the answer!

But does knowing that not only does ‘Fantastic Beasts’ directly connect to ‘Harry Potter’ but how, make you more excited to see the new, all-original movie?

Synopsis:
