Not only has Sam Neill (‘Event Horizon’,’Jurassic Park’) confirmed that he’ll be joining the cast of ‘Thor: Ragnarok‘ but he has hinted at what his role could be. Now, his confirmation is solid but his hints are a little vague so fans might have to do some true guessing as to how he’ll factor in. What we do know is that he was only on set for a few days so it is easy to suspect that this was a very quick cameo and that he won’t be playing a major part in the film. Chances are that after recently working with director Taika Waititi on ‘Hunt for the Wilderpeople’ and having previously worked with star Jeff Goldblum that they decided to just have fun with it and have him briefly pop up.

Honestly, I hope he shares a scene with Goldblum’s character as we all know that the two have great onscreen chemistry.

First up we know that in a recent interview Neill stated:

I’m not really allowed to say this and I can’t tell you what it is… I did a couple of days on Thor just before I came over here. If I say anything else, Marvel’s secret agents — and they are lethal — will come and get me and probably my children, as well.

After this came out he came to Twitter and says that:

Sounds like he had some fun on set, or drank a lot of tea. Either way, no reference of Goldblum there so it is hard to say if the two will share some screen time but I suspect that fans who are hoping that this happens:


Will be severely disappointed.
