deadpool 2

20th Century Fox has released a new ‘Deadpool 2’ trailer and it doesn’t disappoint! While past footage only gave hints of what’s to come in the sequel, this trailer provides more of what fans want to see – more Cable, more Domino, more plot reveals and, of course, more of Deadpool breaking the 4th wall and kicking ass.

Original ‘Deadpool’ writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese are back for the sequel and it looks like they have continued to bring their A game. With Tim Miller exiting the film due to “creative differences,” many are hesitant about whether David Leitch could recreate the same the magic that made the first movie so successful but based on this trailer, it looks like there needn’t be any worry.

While specifics on the story are still vague, the trailer does reveal that Cable (Josh Brolin) travels from the future to the past in order to kill a kid with mutant powers. And if that wasn’t enough to hook you, Deadpool needs a little help from a few people to help him protect the kid thus giving way to the formation of X-Force who, as our titular antihero puts it, are “tough, orally flexible, and able to carry their own franchise in 10-12 years.”

‘Deadpool 2’ also brings the return of Morena Baccarin as his girlfriend Vanessa, T.J. Miller as his bestie Weasel, Stefan Kapicic as Colussus, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, and Karan Soni as Dopinder.

Check out the new trailer below!

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

Deadpool 2 is set to hit theaters on May 18, 2018.
