The Marvel maestro Stan Lee (‘Deadpool‘,’Guardians of the Galaxy‘) has recently shared that he has already filmed some of his upcoming cameos but now we’ve also learned how he was able to do so all in one day . Now, we don’t have the details on specifically which cameos were filmed, but at this time ‘Doctor Strange‘ and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2‘ are both done with production and now just going over final edits so there is a small chance that one of those cameos could be for one of them. However, both ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming‘ and ‘Thor: Ragnarok‘ are currently shooting and both ‘The Avengers: Infinity War and the next Avengers film are in pre-production means it could have been for them too. Honestly, with how well planned out Marvel’s Cinematic Universe is, Lee’s advanced filmed cameos could have been for any of the upcoming films. Even if they aren’t fully written, it wouldn’t be surprising to have some of the cameos plotted out well in advance.

This came up last week as a screening of ‘Captain America: Civil War‘ which included a Q&A with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. Feige opened up about Lee’s cameos and actually shared how they were filmed back-to-back-to-back-to-back! When asked if the cameos being filmed were random or specific, Feige replied:

We do not shoot random ones. They’re always very specific,… A couple of months ago in Atlanta, he flew down and we shot four in one day — for four various projects. They’re all awesome! They’re all totally different. And he was unbelievable. He was on fire. He came in, he sat here, he stood there, he stood in this window, and then he went home.

As this is coming straight from Feige the cameos aren’t likely for any of the X-Men titles. At 93 we can only hope that Lee continues to be able to deliver solid recording sessions for years to come though unfortunately, one can’t expect them to last forever.

Likely this lines up with what we heard from Lee a couple weeks back where he had mentioned ‘Doctor Strange’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’, and ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’. While not confirmed that Feige had meant these, I would suspect that these three and ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ were the four that is being referring to.
